Decription
The Education Village is a hard federation between three schools, a secondary school- Community arts College, all age special school-Beaumont Hill School and technology College, and a primary school-Springfield Primary. The Schools all operate under one roof, with shared leadership and management, shared budgets and a single plan. The school aims to provide a seamless curriculum form 2-19 and across all abilities. We introduced the “e minds” competence based curriculum into Y5 and 6 in the primary phase approximately 3 years ago and have since introduced the curriculum into Y7. Students spend half the day with their tutor and the other half in specialist subjects. We have recently increased the offer of BTEC courses in KS4 and work closely with businesses and employers in terms of work-based learning.
